The India International Trade Fair (IITF 2010) is one of the top most events held every year at Pragati Maidan Delhi. The India International Trade Fair, ever since its inception in 1980 has evolved as a major event for the Business community. India Trade Promotion Organisation is organizing the 30th edition of its popular annual event, the India International Trade Fair, in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi from November 14 to 27, 2010.
India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) is the nodal agency of the Government of India for promoting the country's external trade. ITPO, during its existence of nearly three decades, in the form of Trade Fair Authority of India and Trade Development Authority, has played a proactive role in catalysing trade, investment and technology transfer processes. Its promotional tools include organizing of fairs and exhibitions in India and abroad, Buyer-Seller Meets, Contact Promotion Programmes, Product Promotion Programmes, Promotion through Overseas Department Stores, Market Surveys and Information Dissemination.

IITF has evolved into the largest show of its kind in Asia. Popularly known as the "MINI INDIA SHOW" IITF provides an insight into the impact of digital revolution, especially e-governance in different States/ Union Territories with its spin-offs covering virtually every section of the population. Pragati maidan offers 19 spacious halls. The venue offers around 61,290 sqm of exhibition space and around 10,000 sqm of open display space. The Pragati maidan also offers various support facilities like - an Ambulance and Medical Dispensary, Banks, Fire Service Station and a Library. The venue also has several conference halls in its premises. Restaurants and food joints are also located within the venue premises.The venue offers ample parking space to its visitors.

Pragati Maidan is located in the national capital of India. There are numerous sites of attraction located in proximity to the venue. India Gate is one of the popular tourist attractions located in New Delhi. The other major site of attraction is the Akshardham temple. This magnificent structure occupies a total area of 100 acres. Each month thousands of visitors visit the temple to offer religious prayers and to witness the beauty of this majestic structure.The temple has around 234 ornate pillars, 20,000 statues and several arches. The other attraction of the temple are the exhibition halls, an IMAX theatre and a musical fountain. Apart from this Red fort, the Lotus temple and Qutub Minar are few other major tourists sites located near the venue.

How to reach Pragati Maidan
Pragati Maidan is situated near to Purana Qila and at a distance of 3 km from Nizamuddin Railway Station and 10 km. (approx.) from ISBT. The place is easily accessible from different places within the city. The best way to reach Pragati Maidan is by Delhi Metro. One can get down at the Pragati Maidan Metro station, which is located at gate number 10.
